I had a dream to one day have a little house that housed books, events and workshops.
Then a friend showed me a little house in the cozy neighbourhood of Buena Vista, Miami, and it was exactly what I envisioned. So I made an offer to rent, and was approved.
For two years it did exactly as I planned, and more. Each person, each story that walked through the doors made it what it was.
After two years, with rent prices skyrocketing, I had to make the difficult decision to close its doors until we found a new home. We haven’t found the right place yet, but the dream is still alive. I know it will open again one day, when the time is right, in the place that needs it most.
