Co-Founder, Speaker Slam & Momentum Speakers

Rina Rovinelli is the Co-Founder of Speaker Slam, a Speaker Development Agency best known for running North America’s largest inspirational speaking competition, which she co-founded in 2016. Speaker Slam helps entrepreneurs, speakers, authors and coaches be seen, build momentum and monetize their speaking. With Dan Shaikh she also co-founded Momentum Speakers, a Toronto-based boutique speakers agency whose roster is built from Speaker Slam’s coached, certified, stage-tested speakers.

In 2009 Rina pitched her business on CBC’s Dragons’ Den, stammering through her opening before pouring her heart out and walking away with an offer of $250K. She left with the understanding that the most inspired voice in the room is the most powerful, and has since built her work around helping others be seen and heard.

A speaker coach, Rina has coached over a thousand speakers through Speaker Slam and sets the quality bar for the Momentum roster. She works with speakers to create their Signature Talk and has coached many Speaker Slam competitors to victory or viral success. Her own talk on human connection has been viewed more than 5 million times. She is a Top 25 Woman of Influence, a recipient of the Brilliant Minded Woman Award, and the founder of Platform, a program that empowers marginalized individuals to claim their voice and reframe their narrative. She is a contributor to the anthology Our Yellow Brick Road.
